Constantly toiling away
Eyes glued to an ancient book
Reading throughout the day
The academic had a crazy look
Alone, unmarried, no kids to love
He was free to pursue his passion
To understand the cosmos above
He keeps knowledge a current fashion
He was addicted to what’s true
Some thought he gave up on life
Not knowing the things he knew
Fact is, knowledge was his wife
The academy wants to spread its lie
He stands against their endeavor
That indoctrination will truly try
To prevent minds from being clever
One man versus the institution
To succeed he must always be smart
After freeing students in illusion
Their education can finally start
