Dig Down

Digging dirt deeper downward

The digger dredges on

Desperately driving forward 

The digger digs till dawn

Downward in a muddy pit

Drenched with a deathly scent

Destitute and deprived of it

Digger’s mind has gone and went

The destination waits right there

Dig down to a treasure chest

The dirt dug out makes one fair

Downward to the very best
